A life in sound...
Irrespective of whether he is working as a musician, sound engineer, producer or studio consultant Ben Savage has always had a passion for sonic detail and beauty. Having graduated from the world famous Tonmeister degree at the IoSR University of Surrey he has gone on to consult on the design, implementation & maintenance of recording studios across the UK with Yellow Technology for the likes of Robbie Williams, Christian Henson, Lorne Balfe, John Lunn, KT Tunstall, Soundtree Studios & Rachel Portman. Away from consultancy, Ben has toured internationally with roots music acts Hannah Sanders & Ben Savage, The Willows and A Winter Union guesting regularly as a guitarist, dobro player and vocalist with numerous other folk acts. A champion of the music scene's future talent, he has given guest lectures and seminars in music production, music industry practice and studio design at University of Surrey, University of Salford and Coventry University.
Ben has had the pleasure of recording, mixing and producing several acclaimed albums for roots music in recent years including Gilmore & Roberts, Hannah Sanders, Liz Simmons & The Willows.
His home in the Fens continues to inspire Ben's work as a songwriter and away from music he can be found pressing cider and listening to cricket.
